Candle Making Tips
Temperature Matters
Always add fragrance oil when the wax is at the recommended temperature (usually 185°F for soy wax). Too hot and the fragrance will burn off, too cool and it won't bind properly.
Curing Time
Allow your candles to cure for at least 24-48 hours before burning. Some fragrances may require up to 2 weeks for optimal scent throw.
Measuring by Weight
For most accurate results, measure your wax and fragrance by weight rather than volume. A kitchen scale is a candle maker's best friend.
Testing is Key
Always test new fragrance/wax combinations in small batches before making large quantities. Keep notes on what works best.
